A lot of you who read our blog may already know the wonderful news, but we adopted our baby girl this week. Addison Elisabeth was born on August 8, 2007.

She was born at 8:34 PM and weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces @ 20.5 inches tall (long?).

I,too, have been checking the blog off and on all day and finally see the pictures. Of course, I thank you for sending the earlier pictures. She is so adorable and I can hardly wait to hold her and kiss her and play with her. I know that Peyton will love her and they will have so much fun together. I love that picture with Papa, Grammy, Peyton and Addison. Also love the picture with Mom & Dad & Addison. You look so natural holding that precious baby. Congratulations and just know that I love you and certainly will keep praying for you. You are going to be great parents and I am so proud of you.

I love you,
GG

Lezlie and Scott,
Congratulations! She is beautiful and Lezlie, she looks perfect in your arms!

I have to tell you my family has a connection to Winfield. My Great great (maybe more greats--I don't know) Aunt and Uncle lived there! My aunt's name was Elizabeth (she went by Maude--don't ask me why). My uncle was the DA there in Winfield. My family still owns farms ouside the town. My uncle started the Deciples church there and my Grandfather was a frequent preacher in the church. I wouldn't tell you about this family connection if I didn't love you because my aunt and uncle's last name was QUEER! You just don't tell many people about your family when their name is Queer!
Addison comes from a good place and now will be in a better place! Keep sending pictures. Congratulations and know that you all will remain in our prayers. Brian

She's beautiful and it is so exciting to see you both so happy! It is just amazing to have a longtime prayer answered and to see your longing fulfilled. Little girls are such a blessing!

How do we even begin to say how excited, grateful and overwhelmed we are for you guys and your new family?! We are praising our God and thanking Him for answering the prayers of you both, and so many others offered on your behalf. I echo the thoughts of many who say she looks perfect in your arms and in your family! She is a blessed little girl to have two such precious and loving people for Mommy and Daddy! We hope that some way we can meet her when we're home this fall! God bless!
