Sad News

We found out yesterday that the parents decided to keep the baby. We are waffling between heartbroken and anger right now. Please keep us in your prayers as we make our way home and make decisions about our next steps to bring a child home.

Scott and Lezlie, we are lifting you up before our God, praying that he wraps his love and peace around you. We know that the Lord has a plan and I can only imagine that he has a better one planned for you guys! You are in our thoughts and prayers

You are both in our every thought and prayer right now. We cannot even imagine the heartache, we are remembering the utter heartache when we lost our first pregnancy... and though it's not the same, we remember how much it hurt, and what a time of overwhelming confusion it was. You said it best when you said it was a mixture of heartache and anger. We are so sorry that you are having to go through this, but will be praying that God blesses your family with a beautiful baby... and in His timing (although if we're getting specific here, we're asking Him for soon!) God bless you both!

I was also reminded of when I lost a baby thru miscarriage. I had similar emotions. Sometimes we never understand the why, but I'm praying that God blesses you with strength and peace during this time. I also pray that God will bring you a new child to love and care for (hopefully very soon).

We were so sad when we heard about the birthparents changing their minds. We have been eagerly awaiting with you and I can only imagine how this must feel for you both. We will continue to pray for you. I know God has a plan and will bless you both on this journey. We love you.

Scott and Lezlie, you have been on my mind so much lately. I can't begin to imagine what you're going through. I know how faithful you are and that you know God has a plan for you. I just pray He shows you what that plan is very soon and brings happiness to your lives.

Love, Katie

I read your post shortly after you posted it and just didn't know what to say. I will add as others have that I am praying for you. The youth minister at my church adopted through a Christian agency in Florida last year and took home a two or three week old (I can't remember for sure) baby boy a few short months later. I will post the name of that agency for you to do with what you will. Consider this a big internet (((HUG)))!

It's Christian Family Services, and apparently the laws in Florida are very pro-adoptive parents. If you want to know more, send me an email (same address I've had forever).

While I do not know you, I am terribly saddened to hear this news. My sister went through the same rejection. This is like a death - a miscarriage. May God be with you and be present in powerful ways.
